Widad

In sadder news, my cat Widad died this morning.

She's been living with me, traveling around the country, for 18 years now.

I've kind of suspected she might be near ready for a couple of weeks now. She didn't seem to be in much pain, and was climbing and jumping up onto my desk up until the last day of her life. Apparently, last night, she just laid down in her favorite spot under my bed and went to sleep and never woke up.

I am sad. But, she really did have a good life. 18 years is a good run for a housecat. She was better traveled than most people I've met, and loved up until the end.

She will be missed.

It's always sad to lose a loved one. She had a good life and was loved, and that's the best anyone can hope for. Love her memory and know she loved you.
