plutherusI'm watching my roommate's house while he's gone.
Yesterday, his cat finally showed up. I was getting worried. There was no gooshyfood, only dry. He was annoyed at this fact, and kept looking at the empty bowl and back at me.
He followed me around the house the rest of the evening whenever I was upstairs, but didn't come down until about 4 in the morning when he wanted back out. Cat has the loudest and most insistent meow I've ever heard.
Yesterday, I also made Garram Masala. Or, a reasonable substitute. I was making Tandoori Chicken, and the recipe called for it. I failed to find any at Safeway and went online to see if there was a recommended substitute. A couple of different websites agreed on most of it - a mixture of five different spices, all of which Safeway had. So I got them all and, of course, when I got home I discovered that my roommate already had all of them in his cupboard.
Now he has Garram Masala.
And a bunch of new, unopened spices.
I've never tried making tandoori chicken before. We'll see how it turns out. It's been marinading since last night, I'm going to go up and grill it now.
