Not ready, relaxing anyway
Nov. 9th, 2002 09:40 amI'm almost, but not quite, finished packing the rest of my stuff for my new place. I still gotta pack up the computer, clean the bathroom, and take a figure out a way of moving the vase without shattering it. Maybe I should pour all the coins out into a bag or something first... Friends from Seattle are coming down sometime this morning to help me move. They said they'd be here between 10 and 11, and it's almost ten now. So I'm sitting here in my bathrobe, drinking coffee, and relaxing before they come. I'm just assuming they won't be here by 10, or else I'll still be in the shower when they arrive. My last day in my current apartment. Good place, good roommates, but I'm really, really looking forward to living full time in the new place. This half-and-half bit has been annoying as hell for the last two weeks. Not looking forward to driving the van through the streets of San Francisco, but once that's done I'll never have to do it again. (Well, OK, one more time: when I move out). Giving my car to G, I just got to figure out a way to get it to him. Maybe over thanksgiving? Get rid of that, and there's one less thing to worry about. In a complete change from the past, I'm really looking forward to not owning a car! Maybe eventually I'll reach my goal of not owning anything...
