(no subject)

Busy day. Finished insulation on the shop half of the garage. Started putting up the plywood boards that will be its walls (we're using soundboard in the office half because it muffles sound better, and is easier to paint so it looks nice. Plywood doesn't paint well. Got too late to use powertools (due to an agreement with the neighbors, no power tools after 9pm. Of course, this doesn't stop them from mowing their yard at 7am on Sunday, but I digress...)

Studied my vocabulary for my Spanish class some. Convenient living with someone who speaks the language fluently. I'm not the most advanced student in my class, but pretty close (it's a beginner's class, and tomorrow will be our second meeting. Theoretically, we should know nothing, but I've lived with Chantel enough, and travelled to Mexico and Central America enough, that I've picked up a pretty good amount.) This weeks vocabulary was pretty basic, and I knew like 90% of it before the class.

Planning the design of our raft for Matt's annual 4th-of-July float down the Willamette. Should be fun. I hope the weather goes back to being unbearably hot by then.

More DMV madness

I don't know what it is. I apparently have pissed off some traffic gods at some time, because I've had so many problems with the DMV in both Oregon and California that I pretty much expect to have problems whenever I go in for any reason. It's gotten to the point where I'm shocked if I can go in and conduct even a simple transaction such as renewing vehicle registration without a major hassle.

So I'm not even surprised, just pissed off, about ( the latest )
