Internet polls are inherently un-scientific. The AFA knew this, but still intended to present the results of their poll to congress as if it meant something. The problem is, as much as they tried to poll only their own members, they still couldn't get the results they wanted.
So, eventually, they gave up, declaring internet polls to be worthless.
Frankly, I find the whole thing hilarious.
