Stupid Election Tricks

A Republican National Committee-funded organization, sometimes called "Voters Outreach of America" and sometimes "America Votes" has been caught once again committing fraud, this time in Las Vegas. They send people out to malls, grocery stores, college campuses, and various other places to register people to vote. You fill out the form, and they send it in to the election registrar for you. That is, they do that if you are registering as a Republican. If you're registering as a Democrat, they have been tearing the form up, and throwing it in the trash. So that, if you're a Democrat, when it comes time to vote, you discover you're not actually registered as you believed yourself to be.
They were fined during the last election for doing the exact same thing, and now, based on eyewitness testimony and investigation by a Las Vegas TV news crew, the FBI is now investigating them again.
I mention it here because the group has now apparently moved to Oregon. So, if you think you're registered, and you didn't sign up as Republican, you might want to double-check to make sure.
