Two More Days!
Apr. 19th, 2006 07:20 pmYay! Only two more days and I'm done with this place.
Today was the first day back after vacation. My former team lead, who is now a grunt like me, and is inhereting all of my unfinished projects, spent the day trying to imply that I never do any work. Ironically, it was two of her projects that she was trying to claim were mine. She had a good case, after all, I was the only one who'd done any work on them at all, but, yeah, not my projects, thanks, you can have them back now.
So, they apparently definitely are going to get an exception to the hiring freeze to replace me. Former team lead/now peon was originally hired to do my job, and she hired me when it turned out she couldn't do it and that management, clueless as they are, would eventually discover that. So, she still doesn't have to do anything. But it'll be fun to see if they can find anyone who has half my skills there, and is willing to work for $10k less than what they could get across the street.
Anyway, Two More Days and I'm done. Yay!
