Chapter 13: The Stories We Tell Ourselves

And once again, thank you everyone for your feedback so far. You may notice some inconsistencies in later chapters, and some of that is because I've changed the earlier ones based on your feedback. (Though I haven't put up the revised chapters yet, and don't intend to until I've finished revising them into the next draft).
This latest chapter adds 5,614 words to the total. Making the revised section a total of 90,723 words, with 115,367 words in the unrevised still-to-be-edited section. Which means I'm less than halfway through the third draft. And it also means my novel's currently 206,090 words long. And it seems to be getting longer as I edit it. Whee!
