plutherusI just finished the Geeks Without Borders board meeting. Yay! Our meetings are so much more fun than at my other job :)
Lots and lots of action items for me. Wow.
The most important thing everyone reading this needs to know, though, is NERD BALL!
I'll have an official announcement up soon, but for now, what You Need To Know:
Nerd Ball 3 is at the Eugene Veteran's Hall on Saturday, July 30th. That's right, beautiful new venue, and this year it's at a venue that will be all ours for the duration!
We're having a prom theme - so dust off that tux - or gown (it's not gender-specific, so whichever you can get ahold of :) Come alone, or come with a date or three - but be sure to come! This one will be a Major Event - with a professional comedian MC-ing, three bands, a raffle, a no-host bar, (or is it host bar? I can never remember which is what), did I mention three bands? A dance, a prom queen and king (elected at the event!), and photographs to remember the event by.
If you can make it to Eugene that night, you will not be disappointed.
All money - 100% of the proceeds - all of it, will be going to Geeks Without Borders - tickets are $6.00 in advance, or at the door. We've got three more projects - one in India, two in Africa, coming up this year, and we're gonna need money to deliver, so we're pulling out all the stops on this one. Get Thee To Eugene! We've got people coming in from St. Louis and Los Angeles, so there's no excuse not to make it from Portland or Seattle :P
