Sick, so home from work (but, strangely, still working, as I've had to log in to work twice today to fix problems, and answer email...)
Anyway, I did a bit of web surfing and found some pictures of Nakobi, a lion that belongs to an old co-worker from my tech support days. I have no idea how or where Sean originally got Nakobi. When he was a kitten he used to have to be bottle-fed every two hours, so he brought him in to work in a cage. Cutest thing ever. He used to like to nibble on people's fingers. Hopefully, he's stopped that by now :)
Anyway, he used to have his own web site that had all his baby pictures, and his couch that got a little clawed up (you know how cats like to scratch on furniture - yeah, big cats do that too.) Unfortunately, I can't find the original site, just a couple of broken links, but I did manage to find a couple more recent photos:
Publicity shot from his new home at the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation: http://www.kirshner.org/animals/nakobi.php
Sean and Nakobi on his second birthday: http://www.phoenixexotics.org/pages/LionNakobi.htm
A couple of other photos from the Foundation: http://www.kirshner.org/animals/photo.php?picked=Nakobi
And, if you're interested, an article about the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation, where Sean now volunteers: http://orion.csuchico.edu/Pages/Vol44issue15/jour60/tigers.html

Date: 2005-09-21 12:38 pm (UTC)Yes - I could certainly use a ride from the airport. Or, at least, directions from the nearest Max stop to your house.
I'll be arriving Friday night at 10:55pm (on Frontier flight 797).
Thanks!
If Friday doesn't work, I can go to my parents' house, then come over Saturday afternoon/evening instead...
See you this weekend!
