Actually, this time around it's Holy Terror, Batman - the newest Batman graphic novel from Frank Miller.
At first glance, it looks like it's going to be mindless flag-waving jingoistic crap - Gotham gets attacked by terrorists, so Batman hunts down Osama bin Laden and beats him up.
But... it's Frank Miller. The guy who wrote The Dark Knight Returns. So, who knows - there's a good chance it might actually be good. Though the article doesn't give much hope for that - mostly being concerned with justifying the story by pointing out that there's lots of precedent for mindless flag-waving jingoistic heroes. But... it's Frank Miller. I guess I'll let you know in 2007.
