We got the following email from one of our programmers.

Question:
I am trying to remove my clearcase view. When I enter the command:
> cleartool rmview -tag jsmith_view_1.0

I get the following error:

CLEARCASE_ERROR_NO_SUCH_VIEW
CLEARCASE: ERROR: There is no view named "jsmith_view_1.0" Please double-check the spelling of the view's name, and try again.

CLEARCASE: ERROR: Failed to remove view jsmith_view_1.0. View does not exist.

What does this mean?

Answer:
There is no view by the name of jsmith_view_1.0.
Clearcase failed to remove the view, because it does not exist.
I suggest you double-check the spelling of the view's name and try again.
