Many years ago, I heard Leonard Nimoy's tape on which he sings, among other things that I've forgotten, the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. In later years, I've made no attempt to track down this song, and in fact have not thought much about it at all, except upon occasion when someone brings up William Shatner's attempts at a singing career.
