plutherusSo I quit smoking again., After not smoking for almost two years, I started again about five months ago (though for the first few months I refused to admit I was smoking since I never bought cigarettes).
But I was going over my budget for the next couple of years, and there's no room in it for cigarettes. Plus, it's a filthy habit anyway. The big problem, of course, is that I really enjoy it. Ah, well, I lived without for two years, I can do it again. No pen is safe.
Actually, I think the heat is helping. It's easier to not smoke when you're already dried out from the 100+ degree (that's about 40 for the Europeans on the list :-) Last thing you want is anything warm...I actually haven't had even one since I quit, four days ago. And that includes two trips to bars with smoking friends. Hooray for me.
Speaking of the heat: It's HOT! It's way too damn hot. It's over a hundred downstairs, and my room (the uninsulated attic, where I'm currently at) is quite a bit warmer than that. No idea how hot, but it's not terribly comfortable. I've got two fans blowing directly at me, and it's still hot. Yuck. I wanna go back to San Francisco.
In other news, we were going over what it would cost, both in time and money, to have a float in the Eugene Celebration parade this year, and decided it really wasn't worth it. Just way too much time that should be used for GWoB's core mission. So, hopefully, before the end of October, we can get a couple orphanages (possibly one in Sonoyta, Mexico, one in Sierra Leone, but nothing's been decided for sure yet) hooked up well with some good stuff.
And, really, I was gonna say some stuff here, too, but I can't remember what it was.
