"(5) he cannot associate with any person or group that seeks to change the government in any way (be that environmental, social justice, political, economic, etc.)"

Sherman Austin, of raisethefist.com a political activist site (not a conservative one) has been sentenced to a year in jail, for political activism. The Bush administration has targeted him before, which must be a great ego boost, I'm sure, since they just ignore my feeble attempts at political activism. But we should have laws that protect free speech, rather than just rely on nobody "important" hearing us.

Austin was in violation of the Patriot Act, so hopefully he'll be let out when the act is ruled unconstitutional. Hopefully, the democrats in congress will grow enough of a spine to not allow Bush to ram Ashcroft or Pat Robertson or one of their clones down their throats as the new Supreme Court Justices. Hopefully, somebody in the Bush administration will get really bored one day and actually read through the Bill of Rights, and tape together the pieces of it they've run through the shredder along with Cheney's Enron papers....
