Still on dialup, but...

I called Comcast today, and they said they could hook up cable internet for just a little more than what we're paying now for DSL. Either one is kind of expensive, but if I go with Comcast, we can get connected on Tuesday. Plus, we get cable TV into the bargain. So I'll be able to watch the new Battlestar Galactica series when it starts.
Even better, I am so looking forward to calling Qwest on Tuesday to cancel the pending work-order to turn my DSL back on, and exactly why I'm doing so. :)

Date: 2004-08-14 06:25 pm (UTC)Did you see the miniseries when it was on? I really loved the way it was re-made. A few things I didn't like, and were kind of silly, but overall it was incredible. Really captured the mood of being the last known survivors of the human race, out looking for a planet that may or may not exist and nobody knows where it is...

Date: 2004-08-16 07:05 am (UTC)So I called Comcast, who could hook it up faster, cheaper, and, hopefully, better.
Their tech support was amazingly good - among the best I've experienced in any industry, but any time I had to talk to customer service it was a nightmare.
