It seems Adolph Hitler was not the generous charitable person we've all come to know and love. He actually gasp! cheated on his taxes!

You know, I hate to say it, but nothing he did was illegal, save the things he was arrested for. The "War Crimes" which the Nazi echelon were tried, were not crimes when they were performed, only after, when Stalin wanted to put a civilized face lift on the standard punishments inflicted upon the vanquished.

Except that no one had any idea that the idea of war-crimes would be invented to justify the punitive measures being inflicted upon the vanquished people -- so the words are unlikely to have been spoken, but yes.
