Ed Rosenthal
Feb. 4th, 2003 10:40 pm"I'm sorry doesn't even begin to cover it. It is the most horrible mistake I've ever made in my life."
There is a huge protest going on against the conviction of Ed Rosenthal, convicted in Federal court for distributing marijuana to medical patients. What he did was perfectly legal in California. He was specifically authorized by the State of California to do it. He is the most prominent of many that were arrested by the Bush Regime in their war on California.
What's interesting here is that among the protestors are five members of the jury that convicted him.
Apparently, they were not allowed to know that the case had anything to do with medical marijuana. They're on TV right now, saying that witnesses testimonies were cut short, by the prosecutor, or even the judge. Vital facts in Rosenthal's defense were kept from them. The federal judge even stepped in to take over questioning of one of the witnesses when he thought the prosecutor was not being zealous enough. Amazing. Oh, yeah, there's no political prisoners in the US, naaaahhhhh
