Computer questions

1. How much time do you spend on your computer daily?
Probably 4-6 hours. About half my job is spent on the computer. Even when I'm doing filing or other such chores, I usually use it to watch a DVD or something, though I don't know if that counts as being "on" the computer.
2. What kind of computer do you have?
Two that I use: my old desktop machine that I built mostly from parts I got from E-bay. It has 1GB RAM, 3 hard drives for a total of 180GB. The processor is an unclocked P-4 discarded a couple of years ago from the Intel test labs. The guy who gave it to me was running it at 2.4GHz, but my motherboard will only do 2.0.
The laptop is an unbranded Centrino that is the first laptop my cousin built when he was learning how to build laptops from scratch. It has 512MB RAM and a 30GB hard drive, and is the closest I've ever come to purchasing a new machine.
3. What is currently on your desktop?
The desktop has the logo from my non-profit Geeks Without Borders, the laptop has a picture that I took last time I was at Uxmal
4. Do you own your own website? If yes, do you have more than one?
Two. My original home page from alumni account at PSU, which is hopelessly out of date, and a new one at pluther.net, which I purchased a couple of months ago but haven't finished putting up yet. I also help run the Geeks Without Borders web site
5. How many working computers do you have in your house?
A lot. Between the three roommates we have two desktops and two laptops. Three laptops when M's daughter is here. There are enough pieces and parts in GWoB's test lab (and the office, and the living room...) to make perhaps half a dozen good working computers from (and probably a half a dozen more crappy computers :-), mostly untested. And five 386 and 486 laptops which will probably eventually become Linux mail client machines in Central America somewhere.
