Medical Marijuana
Oct. 19th, 2003 03:55 pmLeif is just one of thousands, if not millions, of people, who benefit from this drug.
I'm not a big fan of marijuana. I never smoke it myself, and I generally don't like being around stoned people.
But anyone who would rather let people suffer and in some cases die a long agonizing death because it wouldn't fit their political agenda to legalize a medicine that would allow them to get better is a worthless excuse for a human being. I cannot imagine the mentality of someone who could sit there and watch while a child is in pain rather than lift a finger to help.
The same goes for the people who keep trying to pass laws requiring emergency rooms to only provide medical treatment to people if they can prove they're citizens and/or have a way to pay for it.
