Woohoo! Two more days until I leave for Norwescon!

I see from the web site that the Cult of Scott Bakula will be there again! Looking forward to seeing you guys again!

And [livejournal.com profile] rhonan and Allyn! Hopefully, you'll both be there, right? Thanks both of you for all you've done for GWoB - it's is super-much appreciated!

And, of course, Geeks Without Borders is going to be there again this year. Our blue room party is going to be on Friday this year. Saturday, look for the GWoB-Scouts, and their famous GWoB-scout cookies!

Who else is going to be there?

Oh, yeah, and remember to tell all your friends: we will again be pulling around Ye Bucket for our "Change for Change" drive: bring in those change jars - your spare change can make a major difference is some child's life. No, really!

Apparently not being content with making little black holes in New York, they are now busily re-creating the Big Bang. Only one problem: it's much more explosive than they expected it to be...

I'm actually not sure if this is referencing the same experiment as the other article was. Same lab. Same type of particle collisions (smashing gold nuclei into each other), but completely different write-up.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Physicists have the coolest toys.

If they don't accidently destroy the earth, this could lead to some really cool things!
