"Well, I'm back."
(Samwise Gamgee)
Just got home from Norwescon. Wow. I am totally exhausted. But in a good way. After getting to bed at around 2:30am, I got up at 4am to catch the plane, missing Sunday at the con. I got back home about an hour ago. Both cats came to greet me at the door, and I was happy to see they were well. They finally have left me alone enough to write a bit.
Full con report will have to come later, and probably from others. It was great to see
Once again, I was there representing Geeks Without Borders, running a table, working the room party, and selling cookies. Don't have an exact count yet, but we raised around $1100, which will go towards our project for the Curie Institute (a school for girls in rural India), AGAP (Aids Awareness group in Kenya), with anything left applied to rent and electricity for the warehouse. Yay! Thanks you all! Especially
I went to a couple of panels, and even got to talk to people in the hospitality suite for a bit. Missed a couple of other panels I really wanted to see due to the problems with time going back and forth at varying speeds, but I suppose that's to be expected.
I'll write more later, but now, I'm going to take a nap.
