The 4th of July is coming up.
And thousands (tens of thousands?) of Americans who live near borders will be streaming into Canada and Mexico to celebrate. Why Canada and Mexico? Because you can buy fireworks there that you can't here.
I just love the irony of all these people celebrating their freedom by going to a country with less restrictive laws :)
To say nothing of all the millions of dollars spent on illegal fireworks. Yeah, nothing says you love your contry like breaking it's laws :)
Me? I get a day off, a weekend to myself, and plan on doing some accounting and finishing the Arthur c. clarke novel I've been reading. And maybe doing some writing of my own...
In related news, they're making a V for Vendetta movie, which may suck as much much as you'd think. Alan Moore has already denounced it.
So, happy 4th, and Remember, remember, the 5th of November...
