Constant interruptions. Computer problems all week. Trying to finish a presentation that's gonna take me three days to put together. Tons of fun when the computer crashes every 20 minutes. Ye gods and fishes, I hate MS Windows. That's three days from where I am now. I have tomorrow. Friday I'll be driving. I'll be in Portland this weekend, and not taking my computer with me. Oh, well. And that's on top of a hundred other little things I have to do before tomorrow. So what am I doing? I'm procrastinating, that's what. Fuck it. People in my office seem to know I'm stressed, cuz that's the only time they come into my cube to talk about trivialities. "I'm in the middle of 15 things. All of them annoying."

Got the oil changed in the car. Even after sitting for over a week, he still started right up. I'm gonna miss him now that it comes down to it. Oh, well, he's going back to Portland to live. At least one of us is. I'd be there by now if it wasn't for the fact that there aren't any fucking jobs up there. Or anywhere else, other than the San Francisco Bay Area and Belgium. And for some reason *they* want people who speak Dutch.

Almost finished packing. Almost out of money. What happened to all my money? Oh, yeah, bills came due. The second student loan company found me (I didn't even know there *were* two of them), so they're taking 10% of my paycheck. That's in addition to the 10% that Sallie Mae is taking. Then I discovered that my dental plan doesn't cover half the stuff I had done last year. So there's another $700 I owe. Oh, but they'll let me pay over three months. Whoopee. And, of course, under Bush's new wonderful tax cuts, my federal income tax is unaffected, but my Social Securiy contribution went up. So there goes another 10% of my pay check. After federal and state taxes, unemployment, FICA, garnishments, etc., I get about 30% of my salary to take h9ome. Gee, I'm so glad I just signed a 12-month lease at twice the rent I used to pay, too.

Yeah, fuck it.

I'm taking three days off, and I'm going to go visit friends in Portland. Uh, you guys are around, right? I'll be staying with Solis. Come see me. I'll come see you. Meet me for a Hookah at the Cow.
