Help GWoB!
Mar. 9th, 2006 07:46 amHey, here's a way you can help Geeks Without Borders without costing you anything!
I don't know how this works, exactly, and we're still trying to verify that they have our correct contact info, but there's a new search engine called Goodsearch, which donates half of the ad revenues to the charity of your choice.
The backend is yahoo search, so it works just like Yahoo, except they donate half the income to charity instead of their own profits. This comes out to about $.01 for every search done.
So, go to goodsearch.com, and, where it says "Enter your charity here", enter "Geeks Without Borders". If you allow the cookie, then it will select it automatically in the future.
Then, simply bookmark that site and use it instead of google.com for future searches. Every time you do, GWoB gets a penny. When it adds up to over $100, they send us a check.
Yay! So, go there and do that, and tell your friends to do likewise.
Thanks!
