Uh-oh.

I've got a couple of files, stored in OpenOffice format, that are password protected.

I cannot, for the life of me, remember what the heck the password is.

Anyone know how to remove a password from an OpenOffice document? I've found dozens of utilities for getting past MS-Office passwords, but nothing for OpenOffice.

Very cool. That got one of them. I used a combination of the openoffice dictionary, a text file I put together myself with various spelling of my most common passwords, and a password-cracking dictionary I downloaded from here (), and that managed to find one of them. :)

One to go :)
