Well, damn.
Aug. 27th, 2006 04:45 pmSo, on the way out to dinner last night, my brakes felt a little mushy. And the pedal sank all the way to the floor before the car stopped. This is not good.
I checked the fluid, and noticed it was a little low. So we took my friends car last night. This afternoon, I walked down to the gas station to buy more brake fluid. Poured it in, pumped the brakes a bit, then drove the car around the block to test them. Still mushy. Pulled into one of the "guest" spaces, checked the fluid again, and saw it was still low. I wasn't sure at the time if it just needs to filter through or what, but when I went back to my space, I saw a nice big puddle of what looked like brake fluid. Went back to check the car, approximately what would be over the puddle, and saw it was still dripping. A metal tube, that looked completely corroded all around, leaking in several places. Looks expensive.
I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
So much for SCUBA this month.
Damn.
