plutherusPeople accused me of dredging up irrelevant details from the ancient past back in 2000 when I pointed out all the people in Bush's campaign who were involved in Iran/Contra. The reason I thought it was important back then to remember Iran/Contra was because it was the exact same people who were going to be working with Bush II. Not the same party. Not the same group. Not "people like them", or even "people associated with them". The exact same actual convicted criminals.
(Note: Yes, many of them were later pardoned. Being pardoned doesn't mean you aren't a convicted criminal, it just means you got away with it.)

OK, enough ranting about Iran/Contra. None of you listened to me back then when it could have helped, and shocked, shocked you were to see that all these people who had been convicted of crimes stemming from their abuse of power could possibly have abused their power this time.
Ugh. Sorry. Really, it wasn't just my intention here to say nyah nyah I was right I was right! Really, I wanted to point out that, perhaps, just perhaps, a man who was responsible for the largest financial scandal of our generation, the man who led the charge into the S&L Crisis causing collapse of a major economic sector and financial damage that we are still paying for today, the man who escaped conviction only by miring his fellow congressmen into an argument over jurisdiction, the man who has spent his entire career in the senate removing all the regulation that caused him to get caught the first time, that perhaps, just perhaps this is not the man to be in charge of the current major crisis which dwarfs his previous one by two orders of magnitude.
But what do I know? It's just wacky conspiracy theory, right? Loonie lefties dredging up the past to smear the candidate because we secretly hate America and in our hearts realize that only the ones who caused the problem could possibly fix it.
Anyway, just watch the video. Then pass it on. Add your own rant. Don't mention Iran/Contra. People will accuse you of being a lunatic conspiracy theorist.
