Here's another one I recorded a while back, hints at some interesting happenings. But then, it really pretty much tells you everything you need to know. With all the ums and ahs and stuff in it, it's exactly a minute long.

I wonder if there's any market anywhere for one-paragraph stories?

Anyway:

I looked over at Dan to see his reaction to this. I'm not really sure what I was expecting. Dan's a nice guy. He can almost pass for Human. He's not that bright, but, uh, well, his entire species had just been declared non-sentient. And there's a bounty on them now. He really didn't have much of a reaction. I'm not sure he really understood what was going on. He'd been my partner for a number of years in our various businesses. Well, my various businesses. I don't know how he'd describe it, really. But I realized, the two of us could make quite a killing in this market.
