Is it the voices in his head?

Blair and sense
Date: 2003-07-08 08:00 pm (UTC)A while back, I was watching Blair speak about the war on BBC America. The gist of his speech was yes, nobody wants a war, sacrifices will be made, lives will be lost, things will generally suck, but Saddam does pose a real threat, and if we don't act now, we will have to later, and it will be even worse then. Switching channels, Bush came on a few minutes later, sounding like he was leading a pep rally. "They underestimated our strength, but soon the world will learn we are a mighty nation! We will attack, and we will win! U-S-A! U-S-A!!"
Times like that almost make me glad we have a semi-literate twit in office, and not someone who a rational person could take seriously from time to time.
I do hope they actually go through with the congressional investigations into all the stuff he made up to get us into the war, though, and get rid of him soon. And jail him, Cheney, and the whole gang for life for the incredibly blatant corruption of suspending normal contract bidding rules so they can make sure their own companies profit off the war.
