Return of the Sentence A Day
Jul. 26th, 2021 08:05 pmHi, everybody!
It's the return of my Sentence of the Day. Or, as I'm calling it over on Twitter now, #asentenceaday
I wrote all of Yellow Tape and Coffee with the goal of a single sentence, every day. Now, most days, once I'd written one, I went on to write a good many more. But one was the goal that I stuck to, and, developing the habit, mostly succeeded.
I have found myself drifting out of the habit recently, and decided to revive the idea to push myself back onto course. The sentence I choose isn't the first, or the last, or the most important, and it's not entirely random. Sometimes it'll give some hint about what I wrote. Sometimes, it'll just sound funny out of context. The important thing is, it's some progress, even if it really is just a single sentence, every single day.
So, without further ado, from my Novella in progress, Yagmar:
#49: I had more skill than most, perhaps, but anyone could sing.
