Brief scenes from yesterday
Mar. 22nd, 2003 10:19 am- The cable car stopped four blocks from the end of the route again. Driver: "Looks like this is going to be the turnaround point, until the end of the war."
- A dozen cops in black uniforms, heavy boots, helmets, and clubs, standing around next to two vans and an armored bus, blocking the sidewalk, but you could go around them on the other side.
- 6 cops "escorting" a handcuffed man out of the BART station as I was entering. As they were going up the stairs, they were followed by another man who was walking behind them, lighting a joint.
