Downside to Anti-war protests

reynard52 last night and she made an interesting point: Bush's war is about many things: Enriching himself and his campaign contributors, building an American Empire, establishing another foothold in the Middle-East, consolidating the power of the religious/corporate consortium which has hijacked the Republican party, and perhaps most importantly (because it enables all of the above) distracting everyone from his domestic agenda.
By protesting, specifically, the war, people are buying into the message that yes, this is where you should be focusing.
