But, says Horatiu Nastase, who did it, it's probably safe.
That's nice to know. The lead scientist on the project is pretty sure they won't accidently suck the planet into an artificial black hole. :)
Actually, all joking aside, this is pretty damn cool, and could give us a great chance to understand how Hawking radiation actually works, and could lead to a huge breakthrough in understanding quantum effects, which could eventually have such useful byproducts as reversing or overcoming gravity in a controlled manner...
