So, I went to a comic book store for the first time in a couple of years.
Just one question: what the frack is this "Civil War!" stuff all over all the Marvel titles? Guess I'll find out - I picked up both Spiderman and Fantastic Four...

In other news, I saw The Illusionist this weekend. Excellent movie - highly recommend it, except I kept thinking that it really, really should have had Mordecai Cain as the star. No offense to Edward Norton or anything, but he just reminded me so much of him. In fact, towards the end, when he was raising the ghosts, the look and gesture he used, almost as if he was daring the ghosts to come forth rather than summoning them, was so [livejournal.com profile] docscarabus-like, I wonder if he had caught a show before creating the character...

Oh, yeah, and "Arrrr!"

I'm so unbelievably flattered! Edward Norton is one HECK of a magician! :)

The 'Civil War' event is taking place right now across the entire Marvel universe. It's mostly about the Super Human Registration Act that is now law and how it relates to each superhero. The act requires all superheros to tell the government their true identities and become federal employees or else they will be deemed fugitives.

The most notable event so far, is when Spiderman unmasked and announced to the world that his true identity is Peter Parker.
