Moving to San Francisco!

I got my new apartment. The owner didn't do a credit check, so they're letting me move in. It's not the SOMA one, it's on California and Baker.
I just did a few searches through yahoo yellow pages.
Within half a mile from my new home, there are:

5 listings for "Sushi"
6 listings for "Thai Food"
9 listings for "coffee house" (not counting the three Starbuckses)
and 14 listings for "Theater" (including two cinemas).

A half-hour walk (or a seven-dollar taxi ride) to get downtown, and 9 blocks from Golden Gate Park. Fire escape for a balcony, and a view of the city from my third-floor window. And an elevator straight out of "The Maltese Falcon". Oh yeah, life is good.

And now, back to testing new Software. The Powers That Be decided to move the upgrade to tonight instead of next weekend, so I hope it passes all the tests...

216 square feet of living room!
I own no furniture, but I do have an air mattress, and three down comforters.
I move in on November 1st, come by any time :-)
