Heh. I've never actually "quit" a group I was running a campaign for - most of my D&D campaigns, like most others - just kind of fizzle out.

But I got a kick out of Gabe's letter to his players when he quit:

It's always a problem when a DM's expectations of what the game's going to be like are radically different from those of the players. It's really up to the DM to manage expectations, while simultaneously fitting things to what the players want. It's a delicate balance, and one that's often a challenge to maintain.

But, as they say, therein lies the fun.
