I was working on my new web site (coming soon. Well, not terribly soon, cuz I have so much else to do too, but kinda soon.) Anyway, I came across my resume on the old site, and updated it:
Here's the newest entry. It isn't all true yet, but it will be soon:
Executive Director, Geeks Without Borders, June 2003 to present.
Administered startup non-profit organization dedicated to technology donation worldwide. Managed international team of volunteer programmers and QA personnel. Wrote requirements for custom software and open-source integration. Installed Internet, network, and electricity delivery systems in areas with no power grid, including designing, researching, and developing wireless network solutions and alternative power systems. Designed and ran accounting system, including handling payroll and corporate taxes. Processed computer and monetary donations. Processed donation requests. Led teams in delivery, installation, setup, training, troubleshooting, and support for networked systems in developing nations, in both English and Spanish. Represented Geeks Without Borders at fundraising events. Wrote and processed grant requests and requests for technology donations. Constructed office, including wiring, insulation, building shelving and cabinets, and framing doors and windows.
(Which reminds me, taxes are due again next week. I hate having to do quarterly tax returns. This will be easier once we get the office done)
