Yep. Back to Yagmar again. I'm working on coming up with a marketing plan for Yellow Tape and Coffee (I have help with that, that I'll tell you all about later), and I'm querying Thoughtless. I have a list of 87 agents, prioritized in five groups. I sent out one query yesterday, and I'll be sending out the rest in group 1 after I write up the one-page synopsis that many of them want. Every agent wants something different, and the query itself needs to be personalized for each one depending on what they're looking for, and it takes time to research them all to make sure they're someone I want to work with. It's a very time consuming process.
But all that stuff, as important as it is to having a career as a writer, isn't writing. So I've begun once again to stick to writing every day, no matter what else I'm working on, even if it's writing-related. I'm much happier about it now.
