Hey, does anyone out there know of a good open-source project-planning software package? Something like Microsoft Project, only free, would be ideal. I need it for either Windows or Linux (preferably both).

If you work in tech support, you've probably heard this before.
It made the rounds some time back - a recording of a tech support voicemail by a rather... irate... customer.

While commonly shared on corporate computers when I got it six years ago, it's probably not work-safe in most offices today...
(Also, it's worth noting that in 1997 this was considered a very large file, too big for most email systems to handle. It's almost half a megabyte!)
Oh, yeah. I love living in the future.

As far as I know, this is real. If so, I think it's absolutely hilarious!

My favorite quotes:

Corallo said. "But when the Judiciary Committee sat down, both Republicans and Democrats, they obviously discussed the applications, that certain provisions could be used in regular criminal investigations."
(Oh, yeah, of course our elected reprsentatives discussed the implications of the legislation, rather than only worried about how voting against it would affect their political careers. Sure, Mr. Carallo. That would be nice, though, wouldn't it?)

"More activity like this is going to cause us to take a close look at what was passed," Reid said of the law being invoked in the Galardi probe.
(Shouldn't he have taken a close look at the bill BEFORE he passed it??! What the fuck does he think he's being paid for??)

I think the FBI has it right. Use the legislation, passed by congress, to investigate congress. Obviously, they wouldn't have passed a law that they thought they'd be exempt from, right? It's not like they think they're some kind of privileged breed held above the rest of mere mortals who are subject to the laws they pass.

Besides, what could be more directly helpful to the enemies of the United States than corruption of public officials. Let's hear it for the FBI!
