The excitement never ends!
Dec. 17th, 2004 06:20 pmAbout a week ago, I got an email at work about the company potluck, and what kind of dish to bring, broken down by department. I wasn't quite sure what department was mine (LCM wasn't mentioned by name), and filed the message in my "Deal With Soon" folder.
Where it sits still.
The potluck, of course, was today. Food spread out on tables on all four corners of our floor. Yum. Free lunch. And far too many deserts. Of course, I never got around to looking at the message again, and thus didn't get a chance to try out my fudge recipe, for which the company can probably be thankful. Instead, I was one of those potluck freeloaders everyone complains about. Ah, well. The food was good. And one person brought in a giant plate of sushi from a restaurant I've been too once but rejected as a regular spot as too expensive. Still, very good sushi. And everything else.
It's 7pm now, and I'm still stuffed.
Having finished all my small projects, and not wanting to start a large project an hour or two before the weekend, I left early today. It was still light out while I walked home. Stopped at a hat shop and almost bought a hat, very nice ones one sale for half price - $10, leather and fur. Had two modes: fur part up, making it look very Russian, or rolled down to look like a WWII flight cap. They had them in black, blue, and red, but no black ones in my size left, so I didn't get one. Bummer.
I did pick up more coffee, though, so I'll be caffeinated tomorrow. This is a good thing.
Oh, yeah, and my clock's still going. If it's still running tomorrow afternoon, it will have run for a whole week, and I'll officially declare it fixed. It just looks kind of funny hanging on a shelf on the wall above the couch which isn't there.
